Read on to find out about Study Lounge!
A great study space
The Study Lounge is a study space that all Year 11 and 12 students in the community can use free of charge.
We aim to offer students a quiet, fun and supportive environment free of distractions.
There will also be opportunities to meet new people and build lasting friendships. Best of all, you don’t have to pay a cent.
HSC Advice and Essay Writing Workshops
We understand that not everyone can afford expensive private coaching and tutoring.
At the lounge, you can receive 1-1 help in most of the major subjects including Mathematics, English, Science and History.
This year we are also introducing essay writing workshops. There will also be teachers available to help proof-read your work.
Library of Past Papers and Textbooks
Past notes and practice papers from various high schools, and for major subjects will also be available for students.
University and tertiary education guidance and advice
Not sure what you want to do after high school? Need help with course selections? Not sure what you can do if you don’t get the required ATAR?
Should I go to university or TAFE? What university should I go to? Talk it through with university and TAFE students.
After-school Snacks and Refreshments
Snacks and refreshments are available to students throughout the afternoon. At the Study Lounge, we do not want students to study with no breaks and definitely, no food.
Extended Hours in the lead up to the HSC
As the HSC draws closer, we understand the need for longer hours to get the most out of your study.
Therefore, opening hours of the Study Lounge will be extended, but we will keep you guys posted on those when the time comes.
